Rose Allen
Rose Lubega Allen is a teacher and an artist residing in Cambridge. She was born in Uganda where she graduated from Margaret Trowell School of Fine Art at Makerere University. Rose has lived in Lesotho and Mozambique in the past. As an artist she has held solo exhibitions in United Kingdom, Germany, Lesotho and Mozambique. She has also been involved in art education in Africa. She has worked in different educational settings in Lesotho, Mozambique and in the UK. She has used her artistic talents to engage with her students. In the past she has been a member of Cambridge Open Studios, where she opened her home to art lovers to showcase her work. Rose has engaged in art projects for charities such as painting 5 murals in a children's ward in Beira hospital and the Catholic University of Mozambique.
